Sharing our love of Bachata, we connect bachateros/bachateras in Athens, GA who love, dance and/or perform bachata.
Our group goal is to grow the bachata scene in town by offering bachata classes, team training, special workshops with distinguished dance instructors around the US. We encourage dancers to improve their social dance skills by connecting with dancers in the surrounding area including Atlanta or other states by attending their dance socials, weekenders, festivals, or events.
We support dancers so they can build their confidence and performance skills through weekly team training.

What levels of classes do you teach?
Through TIMBAchata, We offer beginner / intermediate level classes that focus on introducing beginners and intermediates; building experience and confidence. These classes build two Sundays per month at The Studio Athens.
We also have weekly team training as we introduce people the world of performance. We work together to enhance the self-confidence as a dancer/performer
Can I join the Bachata Conexion team?
Yes! If you can commit yourself for weekly rehearsal and extra practice on your own. The aim of team traning is for members to get deeper understanding and improve Bachata basic, Turn and Spin, partner work, learn techniques used in performance level through a choreography.
We open each season annually. The open enrollment is around the month of July with an audition in AUGUST. Stay connect with us, we will post on our social media when the enrollment is open.
Do you prepare students for performances only?
Absolutely. Our curriculum includes multiple performance opportunities throughout the year, and we provide specialized coaching for students entering regional and national competitions.
